The ladies share a vision of a place for every woman where every woman takes her place. They have a mission to encourage women to form a relationship with God and each other; equipping them through discipleship, and empowering women to serve and share the gospel. They also share the core values of: peace building, reconciliation, Christocentric, leadership development, relationship building, service focus, and alignment with the Church of God, and being Bible-based. (Anderson, Indiana)
The ladies are currently working on these projects and missions: The Hunger Fund, Spiritual Birthday Offering, Linen Chest, National Finance Project, State Missions Project, Child of Promise, Change the World, Mary's House of Restoration, and Christ's Birthday Offering.
The Christian Women Connection meet every 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30pm.
Woven stitch by stitch prayer is interlaced with every loop of the shawls, blankets, and throws. They are given to help give a sense of peace in a time of turmoil, loss, and pain. There is no magic within the fabric of these pieces, but there is comfort for those who are broken and need a thread of hope to cling to.
The ladies of the Prayer Shawl Ministry meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 12:00pm to about 3:30pm. Beginners and experts are all welcome. Lunch is provided.
The "Dream Dress Ministry" was started at our church after discovering a book revealing that Ugandan Children did not have enough clothing. Every couple of months, the ladies of the church gather together to make pillowcase dresses for the girls. Over 250 dresses have already been sent. This ministry continues beyond the church walls as the ladies buy materials and make the dresses within their homes, as this is an ongoing project.
Over 500 churches in Uganda are distributing the pillowcase dresses to the girls as they attend Sunday School.
Our church is currently collecting quarters to help fund the shipping of the dresses overseas.
